Privacy Policy

Account information: your name, email address, phone number, job title, business details and the plan you chose.

Your records: receipt images and PDFs, the details read from them, transactions, categories, notes, messages, tasks and documents you or your accountant upload.

Technical information: sign-in times, device and browser type, and activity needed for security and the audit trail.

We use your information to run the service: reading receipts, organizing your books, sharing them with the accounting firm you are connected to, sending notifications you asked for, billing you, keeping accounts secure, and supporting you when you get in touch.

Receipt images are sent to an automated reading service that extracts merchant, date, totals, taxes and likely category. Images are sent only for that purpose, are not used to train public models, and results are stored with your receipt so you can review them. You can always correct anything it got wrong.

Only you, the people you invite to your books, and the accounting firm you are connected to. Firms see only their own clients. One client's receipts, transactions, reports, messages and documents are never visible to another client or another firm.

We use service providers for hosting, storage, receipt reading, email delivery and payment processing. They act on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes. We never sell your data.

Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure and may be processed in Canada and the United States. Wherever it is processed, the protections in this policy continue to apply.

Receipts and documents are kept in private storage that is reachable only through your signed-in account. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access rules are enforced at the database level for every request, and two-factor authentication is available on every account.

We keep your records while your account is open, and you can set your own retention period in your privacy settings. After you close your account we delete your records within 30 days, except where we must keep limited billing records to meet Canadian tax and accounting obligations.

You can view and correct your information in settings, export your receipts and transactions as CSV at any time, turn notifications on or off, and request deletion of your account and data. We respond to requests within 30 days.

We use only the cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and remember your preferences, such as which business you are viewing and your theme. We do not use advertising cookies.

Receiptso is for business use and is not intended for anyone under 18.
